is 2,350 feet long with graphics
on the riverside that depicts
Matewan's historical past.
The two doors in the Floodwall
are used for accessing
the pedestrian walkway
to view these carvings.
the Floodwall is
located behind the
Blue Goose Inn.

Matewan   
 Matewan has a rich history 
 with the Battle of Matewan,
the Hatfield-McCoy feud and the Matewan Massacre,
because of these events
the town was designated the
'Matewan Historic District', 
a National Historic Landmark.
